In Case You Missed It: Lenny McAllister to Host Two Special Editions of the ChicagoLand

lenny mcallisterTonight, political and social commentator Lenny McAllister (host, "Launching Chicago with Lenny McAllister" www.wvon.com/personalities) will host the first of two special editions of the Tribune Company-owned Chicagoland Television (a.k.a. CLTV) episodes at 6 PM local time. The 30-minute shows on CLTV will air live this Thursday and Friday (Dec 9 and Dec 10) and will include viewer interaction through call-ins (at 1-877-358-2588 (1-877-358-CLTV)) and social media (twitter.com/cltvvibe).

McAllister will host guests, field feedback, and offer commentaries on the subject matter of the two shows this week.

"It's an amazing opportunity to be able to do this," McAllister said in a short statement. "I just want people to feel as though they can take advantage of their chance to engage me in the conversations concerning the issues impacting us all."

Despite his moniker as a "Hip Hop Republican", McAllister has been vocal on his support of President Obama's recent tax compromise with Republicans, noting its probability on The Root this weekend and supporting the decision on The Daily Caller.
McAllister was also featured on Black Press USA concerning the latest in politics as we approach 2011; (the piece, "Black Republican commentator anticipates 'a whole lot of gridlock'", was written by veteran journalist Charles Hallman.) The piece is featured on their website as well as on the piece's site of Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder.  He will also be featured as a panelist on "Our World with Black Enterprise" on TV One this weekend (check local listings for times and dates in your area.)

McAllister can be heard regularly on "Launching Chicago with Lenny McAllister" airing each Tuesday through Friday at 5 AM Chicago Time (6 AM EST/3 AM PST) on WVON The Talk of Chicago 1690 AM (streaming online at www.wvon.com). McAllister's official WVON blog ("Lenny McAllister's Launching Pad") is now available via the  section of the WVON website.
