The Frederick Douglass Foundation Congratulates Republican Congressional Nominee Ryan Frazier

Frazier is another black Republican headed to the general election

WASHINGTON, DC - Timothy F. Johnson, Chairman and Founder of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, today congratulated Republican Congressional Candidate Ryan Frazier, of Colorado's 7th District. Ryan easily defeated his GOP primary nominee and will face off against Democrat Ed Perlmutter.

"Ryan Frazier is just another example of how black Republicans are making incredible gains this year and providing a counterargument to Democrats who think they own the black vote," said Timothy Johnson."Ryan is the Republican Party's best chance to recapture the 7th District seat and I'm confident he can run a winning campaign."

After serving five years in the U.S. Navy, Frazier went into the private sector as a partner at an information technology start up. He was elected to the Aurora City Council in 2003 and currently serves as an at-large city council member. He holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia College and a master's from Regis University.

"Ryan's candidacy proves that conservative values aren't a black or white issue. He holds true to the small-government, traditional family values that we know are key to getting our country back on track. I look forward to seeing him victorious in November."
